Professional competition has been a cornerstone of my career; it has allowed me to refine skills, create lasting friendships, and introduced me to new mentors. It can be very difficult for a chef who hasn’t been previously exposed to cold food competition to get started without mentorship. I hope that this information proves to be useful, and pays forward some of the knowledge that was graciously given to me.
